Professional poker player and media personality Bernard Lee continued the holiday tradition by providing customized holiday gift packages to 57 children from 38 families experiencing homelessness in the Boston area. Lee is one of New England’s top professional poker players and an active poker media personality. For the 13th consecutive season, Lee provided these packages with his charity initiative, The Full House Charity Program. Lee works alongside his two children every year to come up with customized holiday packages that include winter clothes, books, toys, games, sports equipment, and art supplies. Lee also provides each child with a comforting stuffed animal.
“Whenever the holiday season approaches, me and my children are excited to continue the family holiday tradition,” Lee said. “We look forward to this period because we enjoy finding the perfect gifts for these children. The event brings great happiness to our families when we think about opening up our children’s personalized gift packages. We are so blessed to have a wonderful partner at FamilyAid, which delivers these packages to certain Boston-area families. Although my children grow up and go to college, we are still all looking forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.”
This “lucky” year is the 13th consecutive holiday. For the past eight years, Bernard has collaborated with Family Aid to provide families with these customized packages. 온라인경마
“Family Aid is excited and grateful that Bernard Lee is bringing gifts back to the children at our shelter this holiday season. His generosity comes at a time when families are facing more limited financial resources and housing challenges than ever before. We hear every day from our families that offering holiday gifts is not easy, if not impossible,” said Larry Simmons, president of Family Aid. “Thanks to Bernard and his family, the children at our shelter will have gifts to enjoy and parents will be relieved to see their joy during this holiday season. We are once again grateful for Bernard and his children’s continued generosity and support.”
Lee launched the Full House Charity Program in February 2011, and has provided more than $100,000 in supplies and funds to child-centered organizations in New England ever since. The program has helped more than 500 families and 800 children throughout its history.
