“I could have done better…” First half of Hanyang University’s Shin Ji-won’s look back, ‘Disappointed’

Shin Ji-won (198cm, C), a third-year student at Hanyang University, started the away game between Sungkyunkwan University and the male college of the 2024 KUSF University Basketball-U League at Suseonggwan in Sungkyunkwan University’s natural science campus on the 2nd, and took the lead in the team’s victory (66-59) with 23 points and 14 rebounds while going on the court for 33 minutes and 14 seconds.

After the game, Shin said, “It was an important game ahead of the closing time of the first half. I am so happy. I feel like I have gained a foothold to advance to the playoffs one step further.” 메이저놀이터

Against Sungkyunkwan University, Shin dominated under the basket. He appeared every important moment and revealed his presence. How did he prepare before the game.

Shin said, “When I was practicing, the coach told me not to shoot right away, but to cheat me one more time and try, or take my time from bad things. I tried with the mindset that I should do my best based on the basics.”

Hanyang University finished with a 38-28 lead until the second quarter, but allowed a strong chase in the second half. It is regrettable that the team failed to continue the pace.

In response, Shin said, “I think the players got excited after the first half. I couldn’t defend because I was so energetic. That’s why the mood has subsided a lot and I think I kept on giving easy points to the opponent.”

Hanyang University ended the first half with a 50% win rate (five wins and five losses). Shin Ji-won said, “Unfortunately, we had a lot of lost games. If we had done better in those games, we could have achieved better results.”

Finally, he said, “I think we need to supplement our guard’s negligence as we did today. We will look back on the areas where we made many mistakes.”
