The first person that caught my eye was the Tottenham fan duo. They came out with Tottenham’s uniform to see Joseph and his son Son Heung-min, who are attending Doha College. Both voiced their voices, saying, “Good luck to Sonny. I hope you get good results.”
There were Southeast Asian fans, too. Jihan and Jacob, who are from the Philippines, brought the Korean national flag. Jihan was holding a sketch of Cho Kyu-sung and Son Heung-min that she drew herself. “I love Son Heung-min,” they said, adding, “I hope we get good results.”
The athletes came to the arrival hall. More than 100 fans cheered. Citizens who came to the arrival hall for other reasons also showed keen interest. Most of them captured star players such as Son Heung-min and Kim Min-jae on their cell phones. Players also greeted the fans and expressed their gratitude. The national team headed to their accommodation by bus. The first atmosphere was so nice.
