- Orleans presents a gradual jackpot win
A lucky B Connected member from Massachusetts turned his visit to Orleans in Las Vegas into a payday worth more than $185,000 when he hit Boyd Gaming’s locally linked Pai Gow Poker Progressive jackpot on Feb. 22.
Kenneth, a frequent visitor to off-strip properties since 2009, was playing pygou poker around 10 p.m., when he hit seven cards in a row, leading to a six-figure victory.
The Pi Gow Poker Progressive Jackpot has been reset to $150,000.
- Win $1M Jackpot at San Manuel Casino
San Manuel Casino became the first California casino to award a $1 million progressive jackpot for its Scientific Games product on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
A member of the lucky classic club Serrano hit a million-dollar jackpot while playing Fortune Pi Gow poker progressive.

Tennessee, which launched mobile-only sports betting in November, hit a new high in January, making it the seventh state in a month to earn more than $200 million in sports betting.
Betters placed $211 million in bets in January, according to official data released Tuesday evening by the Tennessee Education Lottery. That represents a 16.6% increase from $180.9 million in December. The bets posted $21.8 million in business revenue, a 56.8% increase from $13.9 million in December.
The January results pushed total sports betting revenue over a lifetime to $49 million, topping Indiana’s $274.2 million at $523 million, a previous record for the market’s first three months.
However, the Tennessee market is also facing its first headwinds. Most notably, Virginia launched online sports betting in January, the first of its Tennessee neighbors to do so.
- Richmond, Va., is a casino construction hotspot
Three companies have thrown their hat in the ring to build a casino in Richmond, Virginia.
Wind Creek Hospitality proposed a project in two phases that includes 54100,000 square feet of casino gaming space, 2,500 slot machines and 120 table games, two 252-room hotel towers, seven food and beverage outlets, a spa, an indoor swimming pool and fitness center, and 67,000 square feet of family-friendly entertainment center.
The Cordish Companies responded to a request for a proposal announced by the city of Richmond, Va., that it plans to develop a destination casino resort worth more than $600 million in the Scotts Adder area. The project includes a 250,000-square-foot casino, a luxury hotel with approximately 300 rooms and 30 suites, a luxury spa and fitness facility, a live entertainment venue for 4,000 people, a 40,000-square-foot multipurpose event space, and 18 restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
On Monday, Vallis Corporation submitted a proposal to the city of Richmond to develop and operate the Vallis Richmond Casino Resort. The project will span more than 1.6 million square feet in total and include casinos, sportsbooks, hotels, resort-style swimming pools, dining and retail stores, live entertainment, and flexible space for meetings.
- Goodbye Full Tilt Poker
Earlier this week, PokerStars announced that its Full Tilt desktop and mobile applications are no longer available. Players who sign up for Full Tilt will be given a Star account, which can be used to access all available Star Group brands.
In brighter news, several Las Vegas casinos are reopening in an effort to “get back to normal.” Restrictions on Nevada casinos have been loosened, and strip properties Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, and The Mirage will resume operations around the clock.
