Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) based Lashing City Group, which operates in soccer across Europe, South America and the Middle East, has acknowledged its interest in Korean soccer.
Maurice Paniello, co-founder of Lasing City Group, answered the question, “How do you assess the investment value of Korean soccer,” with a rough business plan at a press conference held at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on the afternoon of Nov. 11.
“We are a group that specializes in soccer and owns 14 clubs around the world,” said Paniello, a former FIFA agent who founded Lashing City Group in 2018, “and we also develop a lot of players.”
“We want to build a large (soccer) academy in Korea,” he said, “and the goal is to produce players through this academy and send them to Europe and the world.”
Ahead of this ‘big picture‘, Lasing City Group is planning a ‘Legends All-Star Game’ to be held on October 21 at Goyang Sports Complex.
On the 10th of last month, legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldinho and Italian defenders Fabio Cannavaro and Marco Materazzi visited Korea to promote the all-star game.
