The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Hard Rock Bet poured everything into their imagination as WWE’s Undertaker posted a meme coming out of a fiery coffin to let them know that their sports betting app is alive and kicking once again.
But it’s not yet available to every sports gambler in the Sunshine State, and it won’t be possible without at least another major player trying to get into the Florida market. 슬롯머신
On Wednesday, shortly after the Hard Rock Bet was launched, the West Flagler Associates filed a motion with the Florida Supreme Court to suspend online sports betting in Florida pending a decision on the current lawsuit. A lawsuit by West Flagler and fellow Paris mutual company Bonita-Fort Myers Inc. argues that a constitutional amendment in 2018 required voter approval for casino gambling. Both companies filed this federal lawsuit in 2021 and are still pending.
“This launch had not been announced before and was a surprise,” West Flagler said in the motion. “The tribe tried to surprise the petitioners and the court by presenting ‘factual facts’ on November 7 by exploiting the distraction caused by their carefully crafted announcement on November 1.”
According to the Hard Rock Bet website, only those who bet on Unity of Hard Rock Loyalty members or 2021 when the app was currently live for a month received an “invitation to start betting” as of yesterday.
Bettors not in these groups can still participate in “early access” by joining the Hard Rock loyalty program at any of Florida’s Hard Rock or Seminole casino venues, according to its website. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Classic Casino Hollywood, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Hotel Casino Imokali, Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. Upon registration, players will receive an email as soon as it is “their turn” to start betting with “early access.”
