Former EXO member Lay to hold 1st solo concerts in Seoul this June

Lay Zhang, a former Chinese member of the K-pop boy group EXO, will hold his first solo concets in Korea at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium at Seoul’s Olympic Park on June 22 and 23.”Knowing that a lot of fans have high expectations of Zhang’s upcoming shows, we will use our accumulated knowledge and experience to present the never-before-seen, best performances,” Dream Maker Entertainment, the organizer of Zhang’s concerts, said in a statement Wednesday.The upcoming shows are part of the singer’s ongoing world tour titled, “Grandline4: Step.” After taking the stage in Seoul, the 32-year-old will head to other cities including Jakarta, New York and Toronto.Prior to kicking off his tour, Zhang put out the song, “Psychic” on April 17, which is also available in Korean and English. Blending garage and bass rhythms and R&B chords, “Psychic” revolves around the theme of “predestined and magical connections.”

Following the release of “Psychic,” Zhang has been actively promoting his new offering in Korea, appearing on a number of music programs including “Show! Music Core.”Zhang debuted as an EXO member under SM Entertainment in 2012. After making his last public appearance with his bandmates at their Hong Kong concerts in 2017, he terminated his contract with SM in 2022.Zhang, who made his solo debut with the EP “Lose Control” in 2016, dropped “Namanana” in 2018, marking his U.S. debut. With this album, he became the first 추천 Chinese singer to reach the top 25 of the Billboard 200 chart.
