Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (“Melco Crown Entertainment” or the “Company”) (SEHK:6883) (NASDAQ:MPEL), the developer and owner of casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Asia, today unveiled the project details and architectural design of the company’s fifth hotel tower at City of Dreams, the company’s flagship building in Cotai for its premium segment. The company is proud to announce its partnership with Dame Zaha Hadid, the internationally renowned and highly valued “Queen of Curbs” who won an award in architecture. Zaha Hadid The Founder of the architectural history of zaha had been the 2004 Pritzker architectural prize winner (considered the Nobel Prize in architecture), and was included in time magazine’s “100 most influential people in the world” list, winning first place in the thinkers category. Zaha Hadid’s works over the past 30 years have been the subject of critically acclaimed exhibitions. In 2010 and 2011, her design was awarded the Stirling Prize, one of architecture’s highest accolades, by the Royal Society of Architects. In 2012, Zaha Hadid was awarded the order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.

In 2013, we began developing a new hotel tower in the City of Dreams. The project is expected to open in early 2017. The 40-story, 150,000-square-meter tower has about 780 rooms, suites and villas that exceed the five-star standard. The hotel also includes a variety of conference and event facilities and unique features, including a 30-meter-high lobby atrium, restaurants, spas, ultra lounge and sky pool.

Dame Zaha Hadid’s work is known for its invention and dynamism as it applies innovative design, construction, and materials technology to create a unique spatial experience. The design of the new tower combines dramatic public spaces and ample rooms with innovative engineering and formal cohesion. A series of gaps are carved through the center of the tower, blending traditional architectural elements of roofs, walls and ceilings to create an interesting sculptural form that defines the exciting space inside.

The exterior structure of the tower enhances the dynamism of the unique design. Creative, expressive and powerful, this incredible structure wraps around the building, further defining the formal composition, forming new relationships with the Macau context, and optimizing the internal layout to maximize customer comfort. 온라인경마
