The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has formed a four-member committee to investigate the problems of missing boxers. Pakistan did not win any medals in boxing at the Commonwealth Games and won eight medals, including two gold medals in weightlifting and javelin throwing.
The boxers’ disappearance came just two months after national swimmer Faizan Akbar also went missing while competing at the World Aquatics Championships in Hungary. However, Akbar did not bother to compete in the championship and disappeared with his passport and other documents within hours of arriving in Budapest.
