Donovan Mitchell, a leading player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), has extended his contract for another three years.
Sports media ESPN and AP reported on the 3rd (Korea Standard Time) that Mitchell renewed his contract with Cleveland for $150.3 million (about KRW 20.1 billion) for three years.
Mitchell also announced on his social media account that he would remain in Cleveland.
Mitchell’s contract also reportedly includes eligibility to sign a five-year, $380 million extension if he becomes a free agent in the 2027-2028 season.
The 27-year-old Mitchell delivered Cleveland to the second round with a strong performance in the first round against the 2024 Eastern Conference playoff Orlando Magic.
